How Can I Know That I Am Saved When I Die?

How Can I Know That I Am Saved When I Die?

The Teachings Of Jesus.

After Jesus overcame the temptations of Satan, He started his public ministry in the whole land of Galilee.  He preached and taught the people about the imminent coming of his kingdom.  He healed many diseases, released men and women from the power of Satan, gave hope and meaning of life to many people until his name was heard in many parts of Israel up to Syria.  His main concerned was restore the broken relationship of men from God because of sin that resulted to all kinds of issues and problems of men like sickness, hopelessness, low self-esteem, economic uncertainties, marital misunderstanding that ended to separation, and many other hardships and difficulties in life.  In John 10:10 it says, "The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill and to destroy.  I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly."

It is not joining to any religion or doing good deeds that will lead men to salvation of soul.  For all good deeds of men are just nothing and can't give eternal life to them "For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God" as it says in the book of Romans 3:23 and " For the wages of sin is death - both physical and spiritual but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ" Romans 6:23.  Jesus said in John 14:6, JESUS answered Thomas the doubter, "I am the way, the truth, and the life.  No one comes the Father except through me."  If Jesus Christ is the only way to heaven, what then men should do to be saved?  "For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have everlasting life."  John 3:16.  You need to accept Jesus as your Lord and Savior.  You need to ask for Him to forgive your sins and to voluntary surrender your life with all evil deeds to him.  Turn away from all of kinds of sin which was the reason why God sent Jesus, His only Son to die for the forgiveness of your sins and my sins.  That's why when one of the robbers who was hanged also on the cross beside Jesus said a very humbled statement asking for forgiveness,  "Jesus remember me when you are in paradise."  And when Jesus heard that true repentant words He replied, "Today you will be with me in Paradise".  And the thief though in the midst of agony became at peace knowing what Jesus said is true and trustworthy.

If you truly accepted Jesus as Lord and Savior, there should be a complete surrender of life and complete turned around of the pattern of your life.  That's why He warned also all people who heard the gospel and accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior to prove also in their everyday living the decision they made.  There is a danger now that even in the circle of the believers of Christ, some made an emotional decision just to escape from the punishment of hell and to have success in life materially but do not want to follow Jesus' teaching to love his brother, sister, and neighbor, to live a simple life, to live by faith and not to forget meetings of the believers in prayer and studying the words of God, to witness for Christ and to help the needy.  If you truly a child of God, you know and can do to forgive others and even your own brother or sister.  You will not stock and deposited your anger in your heart until you die.  Jesus said, "Not everyone who says to Me, Lord, Lord, shall enter the kingdom of heaven, but he who does the will of My Father in heaven.  Many will say to Me in that day, 'Lord, Lord,' have we not prophesied in Your name, cast out demons in Your name and done many wonders in Your name?  "And then I will declare to them, 'I never knew you, depart from Me, you who practice lawlessness!" Matthew 7:21-23.  God sees our mind and heart!

Friends, Jesus loves you so much and that's why God has sent Him on earth to die for the forgiveness of our sins.  "But as many as receive Him, to them He gave the right to become children of God, to those who believe in His name".  Jesus is the only way going to heaven and we have to accept Him truly in our life.  Do not be deceived by Satan that once you accepted Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior, you can now go back to the old kinds of life away from Him.  Renounce and declare to the world that you were saved through faith on the saving grace of the Lord Jesus.  Even the apostle Paul says in II Corinthians 5:17, " Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation, old things have passed away, behold, all things have become new."  Satan will do everything to snatch us out of this new life in Christ but rest assured that nobody even Satan, our strong enemy can  get us out of the loving and mighty hands of our God.  If God is with us, who can stand against us. and no one can separate us from the love of God, even hardships and tribulations, materialism, sicknesses, and sins.  God has solved all of these through the blood of Jesus, His only begotten Son.

What Motivates Me To Work?

The Biblical Understanding Of Work.

In the Book II Thessalonians 3:6-15, Apostle Paul has commanded the leaders of the church in Thessalonians to motivate the believers to work by their hands and not to become idle or just busy bodies accomplishing nothing.  Apostle Paul knew that after the twelve disciples of the Lord Jesus were filled by the Holy Spirit, their preaching, teaching, healing and other ministries have resulted to continuous growth in numbers of new followers of Christ as written in the book of Acts 2 and following.  The believers were added daily and they chose leaders from within to handle the feeding and helping of these people.  The preaching and regular teaching of the disciples about repentance for the Kingdom of God is at hand was misunderstood by many.  Many of them wanted to stay in the fellowship and had forgot the reality that they have their families that need their financial support.  This issue was first experienced in the church of Jerusalem and dealt with love through teaching of the word of God that they need to work to support their families and not just to depend to the church for their daily sustenance.  The disciples knew that the church should continue their feeding and helping ministries for the widow, the orphans and the less privilege people and those who are able should work hard.  The same issue was faced by Apostle Paul in different churches that he started and dealt with during his missionary works in different parts of Asia Minor and other parts of the world.

How Paul Corrected This Issue?

First,  Paul has commanded the believers in the Thessalonian church to work in the name of Jesus.  Why he used the name of Jesus?  Paul knew that Jesus himself learned how to work with his father Joseph as an assistant carpenter and when he learned the work from his father, he worked with less supervision from him before he reached his 30th years old and left this to enter his public ministries of preaching, teaching and healing in Jerusalem and different parts of Judea, Samaria, and of Israel.

Second, Apostle Paul shared to them that he worked too and let himself and other followers of Christ  as example of this teaching about the importance of work.  Though they have the right for the financial support from the churches they started and taking care of, they didn't use this right but rather they worked hard day and night for the sake of the gospel and that they will not become an additional burden for the church Thessalonians 3:7-9.

Third,  Paul has taught the believers the importance and integrity of work.  "If a man will not work, he shall not eat."  To work is legal, acceptable, and have to do it for it is an honorable act.  If this is not so, Jesus was just used his power to turn the stone into bread and commanded the birds and say to the fish in the sea and animals in the forest and mountains to come to their house.  But rather, he exerted his physical body to work hard in order to eat.  Even Paul in his letters to the churches and particularly to the church of Thessalonians the importance and integrity of  work.  For him, if you want to eat, you have to work.  He became a tent maker  and did different kinds of hard works  just to support his preaching and teaching ministries.  He never mentioned here that the kinds of work that are acceptable and honorable are the works inside the palace and temple but all kinds of works in the sea, farm and others which are legal, moral and honorable as the only sure source of food for the family and others.

Lastly,  we should not waste our privilege to work for we were given already the clear instructions from the lives of Jesus, Paul and the leaders of the early churches that to work is an honorable act and an act of serving others as to the Lord.  It doesn't mean that the works inside the church or church related acts are the only acceptable to God.  All kinds of works that are legal, moral and honorable are acceptable to God and therefore we have to do these with all our might.  God gave us the mind and complete parts of our body to function effectively and to use it to produce food, medicines, improve our technology and services for our family, others and the world for the glory of God  Colossians  3:17 .

The Key to go to Heaven

The thief comes only to kill, steal, and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full  (John 10:10)

The Key to go to Heaven

Are you in trouble?  Are you so afraid and no peace?  Are you so anxious and fearful?  Do not blame yourself and do not think that you are alone.  Even the disciples of Jesus were with Him for three years, who taught them personally, who saw many miracles done by their master like raising Lazarus from the dead, who saw the blind to see, the paralytic to walk, the five thousand (5000) men excluding the women and children fed through five (5) loaves of bread and two (2) pieces of fish, and casted out even demons from the body of some people, and other miracles.  Yet they all experienced sadness, fear, anxiousness and negativism in life because Jesus their master will leave them and His physical death is about to come.   The disciples questioned Jesus as follows: Where are you going?  Why can't I follow you?   How can we know the way?  Show us the father!  The disciples questions meant hopelessness and helplessness.  Who is now our leader and teacher?  We gave up everything to follow you, we can't do anything.  To whom shall we go?

Jesus knew the feelings and thinkings of His disciples that is why He answered, "I am the way the truth and the life.  No one comes to the Father except through me.  (John 14:6)  The disciples were with Jesus for more than three (3) years, but still they became fearful when they knew that Jesus was about to die on the cross.  They found Jesus and were related to Him because they accepted Him by faith  and followed Him.  Yet,  it seems that they have no Jesus.  But everything were changed when Jesus died on the cross and resurrected from the dead after three days.  Their fears and doubts were changed into love, faith, hope and boldness to share the goodnews of salvation to all.  The disciples knew that Jesus's death on the cross and resurrection from the dead mean, life and hope.  Life means, Jesus is the only way to heaven and the only solution to man's problems and loneliness because of life away from God.  Hope means, all our toils here on Earth have meaning because Jesus has prepared us a permanent home in heaven for all who truly accepted Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior through faith.  This means, accepting and admitting your sins before and today, asking God's forgiveness of all your sins, turning back from your sins and obeying God's words daily in your life.

When Jesus found Mary Magdalene to be stoned by the teachers of the law and people of the Sanhedrin, Jesus bent down to the ground and wrote and told to the people who planned and acted to stone Mary, that whosoever have no sin be the first to stone Mary in obedience to the law, but no one had thrown his or her stone but left Mary Magdalene.  Jesus said to Mary, your sins are forgiven and sin no more.  (John 8:11)  And Mary Magdalene became a faithful follower of Jesus Christ.

Mary Magdalene knew that a life away from God or a life under the power and slavery to sin means, hopelessness, helplessness and death spiritually.  In Revelation 8:21 said "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic and arts, those who worship idols and all liars- the place for them is the lake burning with fire and sulfur which is the second death."

If you want to be freed from your worries, hopelessness, helplessness, loneliness, and eternal punishment into hell, come to Jesus today. Repent from your sins and accept Him as your Lord and Savior.  He is waiting for you and today your sins will be forgiven and will receive eternal life.
(John 3:16, John 1:12)

The Key of God's Blessings

Faith that Pleases God

After a whole day preaching, teaching and healing ministries in the lake of Galilee, Jesus and His disciples withdrew in the evening from the crowd and took a boat to go to other side of the lake to continue His public ministries the following day.  Jesus took a rest and sleep in a cushion.  While Jesus was sleeping, a strong squall came and the waves broke over the boat and almost drown into the lake.  The disciples were so afraid and went to Jesus and woke Him up.  They said to Jesus, "Teacher, don't you care if we drown?"  (Mark 4:38)

Jesus woke up and commanded the wind and the waves to stop, be quiet and still.  Then, the wind and the waves became calm  (V.39).  And Jesus rebuked His disciples and said, why you were so afraid?  Where is your faith?  (V.40).  The disciples were so amazed and asked one another as to who is this man, and why even the strong wind and waves obeyed Him.

Jesus expected that His disciples are strong enough to face difficulties and trials in life, but they failed Him that is why He asked them "Why are you so afraid?  Do you still have no faith?"  (V.40)

Jesus seems He wasted His time spent with His disciples.  Jesus has taught them personally through His teachings, miracles, and even His personal life, but still they didn't learned.  What a very frustrating experience for a teacher to know that his/her students do not learn after years of teaching, and this was the feeling of Jesus when they were in the boat.

They forgot that Jesus was with them in the boat when the strong wind and waves came.  They were so afraid and terrified, because they almost drown and all of them might die.  Their minds were overshadowed and became full of doubts, fear, negativism, and death.  Jesus became their last resort or solution in life.  Dangers became greater than Jesus.  They were almost gave up in their lives. No hope and became restless.  But Jesus has taught them again to put their whole trust in Him (Psalm 3:5-7); not to become anxious (Phil. 4:6-7), but to believe in Him (Mark 11:24).

That is why when Jesus died on the cross and resurrected from the dead, the disciples realized and understood clearly the teachings, miracles and powers of Jesus.  They moved the world ups and downs; many were healed from their diseases and sicknesses; demons were casted out, many were comforted, motivated and encouraged and became followers of Jesus up to the point that all the Twelve (12) disciples and other disciples were crucified on the cross, upside down, slain by the swords and stones, died in hunger and thirst, put into jail and lions and ferocious animals ate their bodies in the dungeon of death.  They gave up all the wonderful opportunities on Earth and even their lives to Jesus.

If you have problems and fears in life, remember that Jesus loves you and always with you whatever difficulties we have in life.  Trust Jesus.  Put all your anxieties upon Him for He cares for you.  (1 Peter 5:7)  If you want to have a more meaningful life and purposeful life, come to Jesus and accept Him as your Lord and Savior.  (John 3:16)
