Why God Chose You To Become One Of His Children?

Out of 7.4 billions of people this June 2016, China has 1.4 billions, India has 1.3, U.S.A. has 324 million, Indonesia has 258 million, Brazil has 205 million, Pakistan has 191 million, Nigeria has 188 million, Bangladesh has 162 million, Russia has 141 million, Mexico has 126 million, Japan has 126, Philippines has 103 million and others.  An average of 197,000 births and 82,000 deaths worldwide a day and an average growth of population of 114,000 a day worldwide Worldometers: United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs, Population Division.  Out of the total deaths of 82,000 people worldwide a day, how many souls go to hell and heaven a day?  Based on the book of Matthew 7:13-14, it is very clear that the road going to hell is very wide and broad compared to the road going to heaven which is very narrow and small.  If we will use also the parable of the sower in Matthew 13:1-23,  there are four places where the seed was sown, some fell on the path, some fell on rocky places, some fell among the thorns, and some fell on the good soil.  Considering these two teachings of Jesus, Matthew 7:13-14 gave us a hint that for every recorded deaths daily worldwide, only 10% will go to heaven and 90  will go to hell.  And in Matthew 13:1-23, this gave us a hint that only 25% will go to heaven and 75% will go to hell.  To sum up the two hints and divide these into two, this gives us at least 17.5% of the total deaths daily in the world will go to heaven or 17.5% of 82,000 or 14,350 and 67,650 souls will go to hell.  In a year, 5.2 million will go to heaven and 24,692,250 million will go to hell and this estimates are much lower compared to the estimates recorded and given by the two other credible sources, the www.jesus-is-savior.com and the cavern.uark.edu.

The bible says in John 3:16, "For God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have everlasting life".  God sent his precious Son Jesus to die on the cross of Calvary as a proof that he really care for the salvation of mankind.  He knew the agony and pain all people will experience if he will not do it.  God meant, salvation of mankind and he meant a once and for all sacrifice and death of Jesus as the only acceptable offering to God to satisfy his holiness and that people will be saved from sure punishment.  "For all have sin and fall short of the glory of God."  Romans 3:23.  And "For the wages of sin is death, both physical and spiritual or eternal separation from the presence of God, but the gift of God is eternal life in Christ Jesus our Lord."

Friends, Jesus loves you and he has a wonderful plan in your life.  God doesn't want men to perish in hell as it says in the book of Revelation 21:8, "But the cowardly, the unbelieving, the vile, the murderers, the sexually immoral, those who practice magic arts, the idolaters and all liars - their place will be in the fiery lake of burning sulfur.  This is the second death."  This is also written in details in the book of Paul in Galatians 5:19-21 that says, "The acts of the sinful nature are obvious: sexual immorality, impurity, and  debauchery; idolatry and witchcraft; hatred, discord, jealousy, fits of rage, selfish ambition, dissensions, factions and envy; drunkenness, orgies, and the like.  I warn you, as I did before, that those who live like this will not inherit the kingdom of God."

God wants that all men will repent from their sins.  This means, that man has to admit to himself and to God that he is a sinner and needs forgiveness, confess his sins and make a decisive decision to turn away from sins and to follow the teachings of Jesus written in his words and to live a new life.  The question is, are you ready to receive eternal life and not to suffer the punishment and agony in hell for eternity?  You are the one who will make a decision for you.  Don't wait that it will become too late to make a decision.  Remember that all men who live in sins are not normal people, they are abnormal cause this was not the original plan of God that man should be enslave to sin or be a victim of sin that leads to life without peace, harmony with the family and other people, worried in life and full of negativism, insecure and full of fear.  "The thief comes only to steal and kill and destroy; I have come that they may have life, and have it to the full." John 10:10

To all believers of Christ, God has given us the greatest commission in Matthew 28:18-20,  "Then Jesus came to them and said, All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to me.  Therefore, go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.  And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."  This is a commandment and needs our unconditional obedience.  People will perish if nobody will open his mouth to share the good news and we will all be accountable to their blood if we failed to open our mouth and warned them of the impending judgment or punishment if people will not repent Ezekiel 3:16-21. Sixty seven thousand five hundred fifty people are dying everyday without Christ for different reasons.  We are not expected to talk to all the people in our country but we have to share the good news to our loved ones, friends, classmates, and contacts whom we meet in different ways and in different places.  Pray that God will always give us the courage and wisdom and to be faithful in bringing the good news to them daily.  To share Jesus to others is a great privilege and accountability as true followers of Christ.  If we love God, we will love others and will not let them to die without hearing the gospel and have a personal relationship with him.

Children, How Do You Describe An Ideal Father?

The role of a father is very helpful to the positive upbringing of his children.  It is the responsibility of a father not just to provide for the physical needs of his children but also to lead his children to grow deeper in the saving knowledge of Jesus.  The role of a father is like the two sides of a coin.  You can't say that a coin is a true coin if there is only one image engraved on both sides, two different images should engraved on these.  Like in a family, the role of the father has two sides, to provide for the physical and spiritual needs of his children.  If the father failed to provide the one, is to fail to do his role as a father and therefore, he robbed the best things from his children's need to grow stronger in life and to live a life which is full of hope that leads to a life of fruitfulness for self and others and for the glory of God.

In the writing of Apostle Paul in the book of Ephesians 6:4 says, "Fathers, do not exasperate your children; instead bring them up in the training and instructions of the Lord."  Paul knew what is the negative effect to the moral and confidence a negative and unpleasant ways of rearing in the developmental growth of the lives of the children.  What the fathers sow in the lives of the children will result in their actual lives now and in the future.  This verse is in a command form and needs full obedience for the sake of the good future of his children.  Be ready to listen to the personal needs and concerns of your children and not to dictate them nor ridicule them and talk with them in anger cause this will result to discouragement but rather, talk to them with calmness, understanding and love that lead to motivation.  Add to this is the regular teaching of the truth from the word of God which will surely set your children free from fear, worries, lack of confidence and negativism in life.  If you want your children to become successful and fruitful in life, be kind to them, love them and live as a good example in speech values and actions.  Invest the best for your children to save them from unwanted lives in the future and for the glory of God.  To be faithful in the word of God and to obey this, is to expect a good life of your children and therefore, you will reap joy in your labor when they all grown up and can stand alone successfully in life.  Don't fail your children, don't fail yourself and don't fail God.  What you sow, will you also reap in life.  Father, stand in truth and love your family for the glory of God.  Be the man of God for your family and others today.

How To Become Victorious In My Christian Life?

All people should know that God's original plan for men was good and full of life but when Satan entered the world and tempted the first couple and fall to his very alluring scheme, they disobeyed the command of God and chose to obey Satan and this resulted then to a worldwide chaotic life that leads to death both physical and spiritual or the eternal separation of man from the presence of God Genesis 3.  The main purpose of Satan is to steal, to kill and to destroy but Jesus came to give man life and to have this more abundantly John 10:10.

In Joshua 7:1-26, God showed to Joshua why the city of Ai with only 12,000 population which is smaller than the populous and big city of Jericho which is fortified by a very thick and high stone fence, had defeated the mighty army of Israel in the battle.  As a great and well experienced leader of mighty warriors, Joshua and his men planned the attack by sending first their best men to spy the strength of Ai.  The spies came and reported to Joshua that they need only 10 percent or 3,000 warriors to attack the city and not all the 30,000 great men of Israel.  So Joshua sent the 3,000 soldiers to Ai and sad to say, 36 men of Israel were killed by the warriors of Ai.  Joshua and his people were almost melted their hearts because of that event verses 2-5.

Joshua and the elders of Israel tore their clothes and put ashes on their heads facing the ark of the covenant to show their sadness on their defeat.   He asked God why they experienced defeat in the hands of the heathen nation and what will other nations will say of them and their God.  He was thinking that their enemies will ridicule them and their God and will put them into disgrace that Israel and their God are weak and therefore, they can be destroyed easily verses 6-9.

But the Lord said to Joshua, "Stand up! What are you doing down on your face?  Israel has sinned; they have violated my covenant, which I commanded them to keep" verses 10-11.  God showed Joshua that you and your warriors are great but one of your warriors' disobedience is the reason why you were defeated.  Your man has sinned!  Identify then who is that man by bringing the attention of all the tribes of Israel.  Achan  son of Carmi from the tribe of Judah was found guilty and he admitted his sin in verses 20-21.  God told Joshua that "You can not stand against your enemies until you remove it".  Sin is the reason of the defeat of Israel in the battle against Ai and you have to remove it.

Israelite consecrated themselves before the judgment day of God to Achan and his whole family.   "Joshua said, why have you brought this trouble to us?  The Lord will bring trouble on you today."  Achan's admission of sin didn't escape him and his whole family from the penalty of death which is stoning them all until their death.  God's holiness can be satisfied only by the blood of a person or people who committed sin.

After this judgment on Achan and his whole family including the confiscation of all their assets, then God gave Joshua his promise to win the battle against Ai.  God gave him wisdom and more strength to conquer the city and this was realized and Israel won the battle and other nations knew the greatness of the God of Israel and all of them were amazed and became so afraid of Israel and her God Chapter 8:1-29.

Brothers and sisters in Christ, always put in our minds that our God is holy, it means, he is blameless, upright, and clean I Peter 1:16.   From the life of Israel under the leadership of Joshua, this gives us guidelines how to win the daily battle, issues, struggles in life and these are the following:  First, obey the commands or the words of God  Joshua 1:8; John 15:7-8; Second, hold on continuously to his word and the truth will set you free from all cares, worries, and issues in life John 8:31-32;  Third, follow the example of Job.  He made to overcome all extreme hardships in life cause he learned to prepare himself for the coming of trials by living a blameless life, upright life, he was a God-fearing servant, and he learned to shun evil.  Lastly, learn from the life of Joseph.  He learned to become thankful to God in all situations in life, he learned to give his best in all things that he does, he learned to say no to temptation, and knew how to forgive and be humble that's why God was so pleased in his life and God promoted him to the position in the kingdom of Egypt next to the Pharaoh Genesis 37-50.
